March Break is sometimes called spring break. This year, however, I think it is more appropriate to describe it as "a break from winter".

We were fortunate to have good weather all last week, when the boys were off school. Temperature even peaked to at least +4 when we went to Blue Mountain Village mid-week. Even when the temperatures dropped toward the end of the week, it was still nice enough for the kids to play outside. This morning, it was a different scene.

Woke up to the sound of gusting winds. The first thing I did after getting up was, of course, to check and see if there was any school bus and school cancellations. None. Well, it's a normal winter school day. Gary made waffles, as usual. A sure indication of a cold day is the increase in waffle consumption by the kids. Although the temperature has been more or less steady around 0, the wind has made it feel colder. Some time this evening, it is going to get a lot colder --- forcast is a low of -14.

We have had a nice spring break. Now, it's back to winter.
