Nolan and Kaelin wanted to make maple syrup from our trees.

This morning, I took them to Maureen and John's farm to borrow some equipment and to learn how to tap maple trees. We also did a little research on the internet to find out details such as, the best time to tap the trees and the temperature range within which to successfully obtain sap.

With a little knowledge and 3 sets of pal and tap, we are all set for an adventure. Of course, Gary will be involved. We need him for the hard labour work, like drilling holes on the trees and making a fire to boil the sap down to syrup. Maybe, Riordain can be the "taster" when the syrup is done. Now, this project is turning out to be a family activity.
